Entry SL TP Indicator: Trade a Plan, Not a Guess

Most losing trades don't fail at entry — they fail because there was no stop-loss and no target. An Entry·SL·TP indicator forces the plan onto your chart before you click buy or sell.

What an Entry·SL·TP indicator does

An Entry, SL, TP indicator calculates and displays three levels the moment a setup appears on TradingView:

• Entry — where the signal says to get in.
• SL (Stop-Loss) — where the idea is proven wrong and you exit.
• TP (Take-Profit) — where you take money off the table.

Instead of eyeballing levels after you're already in a trade (and emotional), the numbers are on the chart before you commit — usually in a compact dashboard.

Why the R:R number is the whole point

Entry, SL and TP together define your risk:reward (R:R). If you risk $1 to make $2, that's R:R 2.0. This single number is what separates a plan from a gamble:

The takeaway: with a solid R:R, you don't need to win most of your trades to come out ahead. But you can only manage R:R if the SL and TP are defined up front — which is exactly what the indicator does.

How to use one properly

• Size by the stop, not the entry. Once SL is defined, position-size so a stop-out only costs a fixed % of your account (e.g. 1%).
• Take partials at TP1. Bank some at the first target, move stop to break-even, let the rest run to TP2.
• Never widen the stop. The SL was your "I'm wrong" line. Moving it turns a small loss into a big one.
• Respect the R:R filter. If a setup's R:R is below your minimum, skip it — no matter how good it looks.
